Biography - Michael Hannon


Michael Hannon holds an Engineering BSc in "Technology with Industrial Studies" from Napier, Edinburgh. This degree exempts Mike from the examinations necessary for Chartered Engineer status in the UK – he was encourage to take the degree due to its ‘Environmental Studies’ option.

 

Michael also holds an MBA from Strathclyde University, where he specialised in Advanced Financial Management. His pre-MBA years were spent in Electronics Equipment Production Engineering with Marconi Space & Defence Systems, in the UK, and Scientific Atlanta in the USA. Following the MBA studies he worked as a Market Analyst at Baker Perkins Holdings plc and for Prestwick Holdings plc. In 1987 he set up MHM, an International Information and Consultancy Provider which today focuses on Green technology sectors including:

Ç  Hydrokinetic – Wave, Tidal and River Hydro

Ç  Solar Power  - PV and CSP

Ç  Electric Vehicle – and Components

Ç  Smartgrid

Ç  Other – Biomass, Geothermal, Fuel Cell, Recycling and other Green Technologies

 

MHM has clients in more than 25 countries. Analyses have addressed commercial and technological issues viewing business and corporate development for Design and Manufacture operations.
